22 October 2010, Friday

I’m on duty by 12:00 and I’m almost late. I did not wake up late but I move slowly. Thus, I end up finishing slow. I actually leave the dormitory 10 minutes before 11. How’s that? I still manage to reach the Club by 11:40 and I did a really fast make-over. I’m not totally late for the briefing though.

I did not sleep during split-shift break even though I feel a little sleepy. It’s because I don’t want to sleep if my dinner shift starts at 18:00. Sleeping for just an hour gives me a headache and makes my mood terrible. So I just stayed up the whole break facing my notebook, doing my journal and talking to the staff. They like to disturb us so I’m talking to them.

I started my day being out of myself, so I end up my day also out of myself. I did a very troublesome thing with the micros. I am transferring an account from the bar however when I transferred the account, a different set of drinks order appear. So I knew that I press a different account when I transferred a table. I resolved it on my own though. I can’t disturb them when it’s very busy but I feel like crying. Luckily I found the account that originally owned the drinks. So, that resolved everything. There’s also this table who wants to transfer to the smoking area so I printed their bill. When I saw that their bill is just a set of drinks order, I checked the system again. Then I found out that they have different account for the drinks and for the food. So I printed both. I followed the members in the Terrace bar and realized that I printed the wrong bill. This was another mistake I’ve done. I printed a different table’s bill! Anyway, all I have to do is make another account for the table and they can continuously enter following orders. But I’ve really done terrible mistakes during a busy day. I’m not used with the micros anyway, but that’s a lame excuse.

Then, another part-timer arrived. That’s an additional burden to us. Everything in our section, AB, is so messy. I wonder why they have to give this part-timer an evening shift to start with?! And also, on a Friday night?! Are they for real?! It’s so much of a bother.
