Today is busy since this week is the pay-day week. Thus everyone is happy because of the salary. This morning's briefing, my seniors and captains received some kind of a letter regarding their salary. I think it's about their salary adjustments...deductions of this and that, particularly the tax. And I can see that everyone is smiling. If it were an anime or cartoon, their eyes would reflect dollar signs, or there would be bubbles showing lots of money. Well, the smell of money gives energy. Since it is pay-day, they are inviting again to go to this place and to that place, eat here and there. People in our club are one day millionaires as Ate Aisa described. Or maybe, not everyone is like that. When the money arrives, they will splurge it by drinking or eating out. That's how I noticed things. Money makes the bond stronger.
This afternoon is the Staff Gathering, our most awaited day where we can eat the club's food freely. This month's food is way better compared to last month's. Even though the dishes are just snacks, we still eat to our stomach's content. It's free anyway.
My weird schedule started today. For my split shift break, I only slept for 1 hour or less. I need to start work by 18:00, so I don't have much time. It's good that I still get some sleep. I just discovered that it's good to start work by 18:00 since there are almost no members dining and you're free to do anything. Tomorrow I still need to work 18:30 to 23:00.
This evening is busy. I did nothing but to clear tray and pick up dessert. Anyway, my senior, Ate Aisa got a tip of S$50.00. That was too big for a tip, you know?! Considering the fact that we’re not allowed receiving tips from members. Anyway, Ate Aisa treated us to Chicken Rice in Novena. And she also paid for our taxi. She's so kind to us.
