27 August 2010, Friday

I have another half-day for work. For the past four weeks I have my half-days every Friday. I just so love it. Since Friday afternoons are laksa days.

Anyway, today's evening shift is just so busy. And there's a long table, 12 and 13 joined together, in which the ladies are laughing hardly. They are very noisy. The people next to their table even transferred to another table farther from them. After clearing the table, I look around and I saw other tables looking at them. I can't help it, so I burst into laughter as soon as I am in the section station. I laughed quiet hardly that my eyes became teary. That was the very first time that I laughed that much because of the members.

Then, Mr. Killick said "maraming salamat" to me. I came from their table, then he called for me again. I thought he was going to give me some tip since I saw him getting something out of his breast pocket. I saw a pinkish paper so I thought it was 10 dollars. But I'm mistaken. I'm surprised that he said "maraming salamat" to me in a slang manner. I repeated it to him with the proper pronunciation. I wonder where he learned that from. He always greets me in Tagalog that he already learned how to respond in Tagalog.
