Today is Suhaib’s off day. He is also a trainee like us. However, he come to Tavern today, because he does not know that today is his off day. He’s not checking the roster!
Anyway, today is like a little twisted! Since Suhaib came, his off day and tomorrow’s assigned tasks are interchanged. I, Karlaine and Suhaib are all together in section C and D. For information’s sake, there are four sections in Tavern. Section A and B are near the salad bar, bread counter, and Wood Fire kitchen. Wood fire kitchen is literally a kitchen with wood fire oven for cooking thin crust pizzas. Anyway, section C and D are near the entrance door and where our manager and assistant manager stay. I kind of don’t like those sections because I don’t like greeting the guests first and leading them to their seats.
Going back to my twisted day… since Suhaib is always a food runner ever since he came he is not very familiar to our duties. Actually, today is also the first time I talked to him. We typically don’t communicate with each other since we have different duties. I talked to him a lot today because I acted as his senior?! I also wonder why he is always asking me. Maybe I don’t seem to be very busy, that’s why. During night shift, I am placed in a different section so I am doing my duties alone.
